Annual Multi-disciplinary Department of Diagnostic Radiology (DOR) Health Sciences Research Grant | Diagnostic Radiology | School of Medicine

Description: The Annual Multi-disciplinary DOR Research Grant competition supports all Faculty at Queen’s University for projects of up to $100,000 funding. These projects can involve any area of research in the health sciences that includes a radiology component. Through this multi-disciplinary grant, the aim is to foster research collaborations among radiologists and other faculty colleagues.

Topics: Innovation in Technology or Process, Artificial Intelligence, Global Health, Quality Improvement, Equity in Healthcare, Innovation in Medical Education

Amount: Up to $100,000 annually

Eligibility: All Queen’s Faculty with Queen’s University Radiologist as PI or Co-PI

Submission Requirements

Applications should include a brief (maximum 250 word) description of the innovative or unique aspect of this project as compared to existing research efforts. Also include a statement on the unique aspects of the multidisciplinary team.

Completed research form (including: abstract, review of literature, methods, timeline, budget and references)

Curriculum Vitae of PI/Co-PI
Letters of Support from Head of Department/Program Chair (for PI/Co-PIs outside of DOR)

Grant Application Form (PDF)

Review process and project selection criteria: Research committee led by Faculty Research Director with internal and external reviewers. Selection criteria as posted on DOR website.

Annual Timelines

Start of submission: March 30
Deadline: June 30
Project selection and award winner notification: Annual DOR Research evening, November

If there are multiple deserving grant applications, split of the $100,000 research funding could be made at the discretion of the Research committee. In any year, if there are no submissions deemed suitable by the Research committee, the grant will not be awarded.
